Muddy Run at Cross Country
Story by Madison Santore
This past week of cross country was a fun one just like every other. Except this time, the meet was held at Timber Creek Park, one of the toughest courses. The teams we ran against were St. Peter’s Merchantville, Christ the King, St. Mary’s of Williamstown, Good Shepherd, and Resurrection Catholic. It was the boys’ turn to run first. That was bad news for the girls because it was really hot outside. While we waited we laughed, played, and got muddy. VERY muddy. During the race we ran up hills, down hills, and jumped over tree trunks that blocked our path. Our Lady of Hope may not have the biggest team, but most of us, if not all, were in the top 25 out of over 45 runners. All in all, it was a blast and something that I think the whole team will remember for a long time.
